With a true passion for business, optics pioneer Karl Steiner established Steiner Optik GmbH in 1947. Despite the difficult post-war economy, the newly founded innovative company grew from a one-man shop into a factory with more than 50 employees within six years. Offering products from small cameras to binoculars to special lenses, Karl Steiner soon realized that the company’s future lay within the production of professional high-quality binoculars. His revolutionary ideas set high standards within the optics industry, and Steiner Optik quickly became the world’s leading high-quality binocular manufacturer. Since the beginning, Steiner has always focused on creating new optics technologies.
