Mystic Valley traders was founded by Nancy Mills. The company started from a chance encounter between friends in 1984 since then Nancy was inspired to explore the US market for traditional Welsh coverlets and throws. In 1990 Mystic introduced its collections at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, NC for the first time. Today Mystic is an award-winning artisanal designer of high-end, top-of-bed linens. The collections feature rich colors, patterns, and textures in cotton prints, linens, silks, and blends, shipping within three weeks of a client order.

Welsh looms produce distinctive patterns preserved through generations of family tradition. This inspired Nancy to explore the US market for traditional Welsh coverlets and throws.
