Honey Dumplings began in May of 2008….a blog that was born out of my love of food and writing (and the gentle nudging from my sweet T!). My husband had been trying to get me to start a blog for several months…okay perhaps even a year! He was my first taste tester and witnessed the dishes stacking higher and higher in the sink by the second…. He would catch me with my pen and paper scribbling down my thoughts about a cookbook or a new recipe or a restaurant and tell me, “You should start a blog.
I’d respond with, “A blog, what is a blog? Some techie thing?” Mind you, I was one of the last of my generation to purchase a cell phone although my family was one of the first of my generation to own an Apple….
I finally listened to him nearly a year later and so began Honey Dumplings….a place where I share recipes, photos and stories about my culinary adventures. I am a classically trained chef and UW alumna. I’ve been around the world in a plane and love traveling to places both near and far for a breath of fresh air and local food.
