Russell Cobane was born in 1946. He has spent hours on camping and fishing when was young and began his youth as a landscape painter. When he was 30 he was a prominent commercial illustrator with Madison Avenue artist representative. . In 1984 he bagan painting wildlife with his love in plants and nature. How won the People’s Choice Award at the Michigan Wildlife Habitat Foundation Show for five consecutive years has designed a series of eight collector plates for The Bradford Exchange and designed greeting cards for the National Wildlife Federation and the Humane Society. His efforts in conservation have earned in excess of $500,000 for Ducks Unlimited alone. He continues to paint primarily nature subjects, but is interested in exploring other subjects as well. One never knows where his hobbies, such as orchid growing, will take him. Margaret Cobane since a child has known how to harness her creativity. She has always loved Chritmass and cannot resist collecting blown glass ornaments. Her fascination with Christmas, nature, gardening and Santa is a recurring subject in much of her work. She likes Santa because he is such a good, kind soul. Her designs are created from my love of the season and all of the traditions that are dear to our hearts.
